I am giving my first speech for oral comm class. It’s an introductory, we have to pick on thing that sets us apart. My topic is reunion with my birth mother( I was adopted). I cant narrow in on one aspect, I keep going all over the place w/ it. any ideas?
Spontaneous human combustion speech tips ?

Well, I am doing a speech on Spontaneous human combustion. I have several questions.
1) What is the best moment to say it is not scientifically proven ? ( I am planning to arouse their interest a bit in the beginning like “Although the chances are extremely low, our own bodies are capable of being a huge source of fire” )
2) In evaluation paper, I need to determine what is my “statement of credibility”. What would be it ?

I’m supposed to be writing a speech (at most, two minutes) for U.S. History, acting as a Federalist who’s trying to convince neutral parties that the Constitution is a good idea. That said, I’ve never written a speech before, so I need some tips if possible. The info I’m supposed to include is as follows:
- The Articles of the Confederation were weak and ineffective
- National government needed to be strong in order to function
- Strong national government needed to control uncooperative states.
- Constitution and state governments protected individual freedom without the need for a bill of rights–a listing of rights could be dangerous. If the national government were to protect specific listed rights, what would stop it from violating rights other than the listed ones? Better to list none at all.
Any tips? Don’t get me wrong, I need to write this speech myself. I just have no idea where to start…
