I am beginning to write my essay but am feeling a bit lost. I think I am going to address the question which asks to discuss some issue of personal concern and its importance to you. So what are colleges looking for in this type of question? This may be a dumb idea but could I possibly tye a personal concern to awkward silence. I am writing an essay for a school that I’m applying to, but I am stuck. I was wondering if you all can give me examples or tips. The essay question is to describe why the school is a good fit for me and I want to mention how the school is prestigious, diverse..and that’s all I have for right now. I have to write a 5 page essay on the book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens”. I haven’t read the book yet, so that’s where I’ll start. I was thinking maybe I’d read a chapter, write a half page or even a page, and so on. Then with an intro and conclusion it would be complete. Does this seem legit? Any tips or ideas for me?

It is a book report. I can write about what I thought and my feelings towards it.
It’s very unspecific when it comes to requirements. I just have to write. What I feel, or just a summary. It’s really whatever I want to write ande how I want to write it.

ok, so i have the test tommorow
and i don’t really know how to structure an essay so D:
and the test is about film techniques,
so basically they will show u 10 minutes of a film and then we have to write about how the director has used them to portray the characters, eg symbolism, camera angles, music
and i was just thinking about how to write an essay and i dont really know how to like structure the essay..
i dont know how to start off with the topic and how to write about it. and its kinda hard for me to explain how the film techniques are used also
so i really need help
